Despite Hulk's efforts to save the helicopter, Abomination was still successful in causing enough damage to force it to crash, as the helicopter spun out of control through the city, while Abomination and Hulk still held on. Eventually, the helicopter crashed in an unpopulated area, as Hulk fell to the side of the wreckage, and Abomination was thrown forwards, and was then crushed underneath the crashing helicopter.
Despite being crushed underneath the crashing helicopter, Abomination had soon returned to the fight, as he leapt on top of the helicopter wreckage and roared at Hulk, as he wiped blood from his mouth and prepared to continue their clash. As Hulk readied himself and charged forward, Abomination leapt down from the helicopter and collided with Hulk, throwing him into a wall and pinning him back with his arm.
Holding Hulk back by his throat, Abomination attempted to break his neck by lifting him into the air, as Hulk punched his stomach and attempted to free himself. However, despite Hulk's attempts to escape, Abomination refused to release him, telling Hulk that he did not deserve his power, and told him to watch Betty Ross burn in the wreckage of the helicopter, as he stabbed Hulk in the shoulder with his exposed bones.
"You don't deserve this power. Now watch her die!" Abomination said to Hulk
With Abomination threatening Betty, Hulk began to feel rage, which augmented his strength. Reasserting his control, Hulk liberated himself from Abomination's grasp, pulling him away from him before slamming him into the wall with all his might just as the helicopter caught fire due to the leaking fuel. Seeing this, Hulk charged forward and thunder-clapped his hands together and managed to blow out the entire fire, saving Betty and the general from being consumed by the flames.
However, just as Hulk watched as Betty and the general were pulling themselves out of the wreckage of the helicopter, Betty screamed out a warning just before Abomination hit Hulk from behind with a concrete pillar on a high-tensile chain. With Hulk having been knocked off his feet, Abomination swung the chain around his head and smashed it into Hulk's head, knocking him down once again. Abomination then noticed Thaddeus Ross was attempting to escape the helicopter wreckage with Betty.
Reaper was ready to act any second now because he didn't know if his interference has affected the fight just like Stark's with whiplash.
Grinning, Abomination greeted Ross, as he swung the chain around again, ripping the helicopter blades away, as he prepared to kill his former superior. Just as Abomination was questioning if Ross had any last words,Hulk rushed to his feet and uttered "Hulk Smash!" as he stamped on the ground, shattering the concrete and trapping one of Abomination's legs, causing him to lose his balance and drop the heavy chain.
Before Abomination could react, Hulk had then grabbed the heavy chain, which he proceeded to wrap around Abomination's throat. Although Abomination had attempted to free himself by punching backwards at Hulk and grabbing his face, Hulk had instead responded by then ripping out one of Abomination's exposed bones, and stabbing him in the hand with it, causing Abomination to roar in agony while Hulk held him back.
With Abomination unable to get free, Hulk began crushing down on his throat, choking the life out of Abomination. However, Abomination was saved by Betty requesting mercy from Hulk, who finally relented and released the exhausted Abomination. Unable to fight, Abomination was handed over to the United States Army, as Hulk smashed his foot into Abomination's chest, and kicked him over to Ross to take responsibility for him.
With Abomination finally defeated, members of the New York City Police Department as well as the Strategic Operations Command Center arrived on the scene with the guns aimed directly at Hulk. However, Ross ordered all the men to lower the weapons as Hulk and Betty had a moment as they briefly looked at one another. As more soldiers arrived in a helicopter, Hulk was left with no other option and fled the scene to avoid capture.

100 Miles away from New York in a forest. Banner was on his knees after regaining control.
"How does it feel?"
Banner scrambled hurriedly to get up and look from where the voice came from only to find Kenichi Shirahama.
"W-Who... W-What?" still disoriented from his transformation Banner couldn't ask properly what he wanted to but Kenichi still understood.
"My name is Kenichi Shirahama, if you remember the guy in all black that was fighting abomination before you turned into Hulk, I am like him as a martial artist and I wanted to help you." Kenichi said slowly to let Banner know that he was here for help.
Banner remembers the man in black fighting Abomination before he jumped from the helicopter as he didn't think the man in black could hold for much longer, but he didn't think the guy was a martial artist as he looked like an enhanced to him.
"You have tried everything to get rid of Hulk, but now it should be pretty clear to you that it is impossible so how about letting someone teach Hulk after all Hulk is just a kid with intelligence of not more than 5 years old, I know some people who are good at teaching and may be able to help in your situation."
"You think Hulk can be taught, who in their right mind will try to do that, have you forgotten what happened in Harlem earlier." Banner stated
"I remember, Hulk saved the people of Harlem from abomination not you Hulk. It's clear to me that Hulk isn't a mindless monster but someone with clear thinking capabilities though he is always angry but then again whenever he comes out, everyone tries to hurt so how can he just stay still. He does what any human at his position does, he retaliates the only difference is that when Hulk retaliates, he does unnecessary damage." Kenichi explained as he crouched in front of Banner who is sitting on the ground.
"No, Hulk is a monster. A monster that has destroyed my life."
"Tch, it's like I am talking to a broken record. Are you really a man with multiple PhDs because you clearly lack intelligence." Kenichi shakes his head in frustration at Banners idiotic behaviour.
"What did you say?" said Banner in anger
"Yeah, I was going to talk to you more but you clearly are not in the right state of mind so just sleep for now."
